biggest difference to me seems to be the GFS is way more progressive with the front. The GFS has the front clear by Wednesday and the Euro's heavy rainfall is mostly after that. The CMC looks to be favoring a more progressive front for most as well. I'm headed to Galveston Tuesday so I'm definitely gonna be watching the trends but well I want the drier solution :P

Which btw wow :cold:

If we can get through the weekend without hitting 100F we may not hit it at all for July. That my friends, for DFW, is an extremely rare feat. Probably as rare as it gets below 0 in winter!

I Wish I could say the same for up here. This has been a week/week and a half of nothing but 100s.

96F at DFW airport today...and the wait to 100 continues...

Meanwhile both euro and gfs shows dramatic (for July) cooldown next week. Can't wait.

Not Texas weather, but a cohort shared this with me this morning. Scary, but no one was hurt. Given that, the science geek in me thinks this is so cool! :)

Not a lot of excitement for the upcoming cool front. I won't be excited until it starts getting down into the 70"s
Here's to a cold, blustery Winter with snowfall like 2009-2010 :ggreen:

Maybe these -NAO/EPO trends will carry forward into the Winter thread. However, we all know what will happen... Austin and Houston will get snow and DFW will get dry cold :) :)

So they finally took the debris from the early June storm and the grass that was underneath it is very tall compared to the rest of the grass in the yard. But better than a dead bare patch. Also, it is hot today. :-)

Is summer over yet...give me a mild 70 winter day..any day..ugh...even the best Texas summers is still wicked. Just looking at tweets and posts of daily thunderstorms in Atlanta, Birmingham, New Orleans makes me want to cry.

The days are getting shorter...the days are getting shorter..

yeah I know this summer hasn't even that bad and it could be way worse but I will always hate it as long as I live here.

I really really hope we turn the corner on our winters around here too, they've almost annoyed me more than summer of late

97F officially at DFW today again. Tomorrow is the last good shot at 100 in awhile if it can sneak in there, if it doesn't then July may go in the record books with zero. High for summer so far is 98F.

It is also possible Monday may go for it as heat compression ahead of the cold front.

Still terrible.

DFW running about a degree warmer than yesterday so far this morning, so 100 might be in reach. Now, if DFW hits 100 tomorrow before the front arrives and we end up dry then I'll be pissed lol

The first half up until the 7th of July was great with severe storms every week or two in the area. Now we’ve finally hit the doldrums. I’m planned visit the family on the 30th for 10 days in Atlanta. It better rain there everyday! I’ll probably end up bringing the dry weather with me like I have had before. Lol.

97 again today at DFW. Broken record. One more day to try at 100.

One year ago today it was 109F.
