Progress, at least on this last GFS run.

Got almost .80 of an inch today, so the first good rain in quite awhile. I think it will get up to 83 or so though since it's starting to warm up now. But, better than 100. I hope that means we are done with the 100s.

DFW's official high was 88F sometime after midnight. The mid afternoon high so far is 80.

Looks like the atmosphere has washed out from this morning's storms. Radar dissipating.

Euro shows dome of 594+ dm post Dorian. Which if true spells a few more 100s first week of September. Got to get as much rain as possible next few days to keep temps at bay when ridge does come back.

well now the models get into the Gulf, some of the ensembles are even into Louisiana now, still may not help us but how far west can it go? If it misses the east coast weakness there seems to be a lot of ridging

looking at the Euro its even further west now though it still recurves into the Panhandle(like Michael did)

The Death Ridge of High Pressure over us will not be going anywhere anytime soon. Very hard to see anything tropical moving west past NOLA. In fact, should Dorian move as far west as NOLA (which to my knowledge no model whatsoever is showing at this time), it would pump the Death Ridge even more over us. Ugh. Don't want to think about that.

Death Ridge is better than a Cat 3,4,or 5 bearing down us, rain needed or not.

This is getting downright depressing. Like you mentioned earlier, this has been one of the most horrible weather months we've had in quite some time...

Latest Euro shows much of the state continuing to see 100s through the first week of September.
