I couldn’t take it anymore so I decided to drive 16 hours to Arizona to visit the Grand Canyon as well as other surrounding areas and got 2 feet of snow. :cold: happy late thanksgiving! Here’s to everyone in Texas cashing in on the white stuff.

My wife has to travel to Denver and Vail for a week after New Years for work. I would be lying if I said I wasn't a little jealous. Wait, I am lying already. I am extremely jealous.

Warm Air Advection for the win tonight. A lot of the Metroplex has hit 70 tonight, a little bit warmer than what some of the meso scale models had been showing.

Edit: Thankfully even with the warmer surface temps it looks like there's going to be a pretty decent Cap in place most of the night, which would help prevent any surprise events.

It’s amazing how much the temp has risen in the last few hours.

I'd love to see FWD launch another balloon, if it weren't for the CAP that the HRRR and RAP are showing I think we'd be in for one of those scary night time events. Wind Shear and CAPE are beyond impressive for a night time event.

The northern NM mountains have time of snow for early winter. Sipapu Ski Resort up near my place up there has already been open for a month and it is mostly natural snow.

The cold front and line of showers were pretty lack luster. It rain for all of 10 min at the most when it finally came through around 6am. Rain was moderate with no lightening or thunder associated with it.

Tomorrow looks cool, highs across DFW will be mid to upper 50s, with lows Monday morning in the mid to upper 30s.

The next 10 days are pretty quiet, highs will be in the mid to upper 60s, lows in the lower to mid 40s. Rain chances are not till Thursday of next week and a slight chance next weekend.

All in all temps are only going to be slightly warmer than normal for the first 7 days of December. It may be mid December before the pattern starts to turn to the colder side of things, just in time for the Christmas holidays.

Hope everyone had a happy Thanksgiving!

Just got back from a trip and I see that the forecast looks dull. Regardless today is the last day to post here as we shift to Meteorological Winter after midnight.
