I mean, come on... How do you resolve this?

Looks like a nice strike. Hopefully not a gutter ball.

Finally a good rain event here in south central and southeast Texas. I've had over 4 inches here in Houston, and my parent's in San Antonio received over 1 inch of rain for the first time in months. I'm thankful!

Looks like the first area wide freeze is on tap for DFW tonight or tomorrow night. Then temps will slowly moderate to normal or just above normal for this time of year. Then things look kind of fuzzy moving into mid-Dec with the ensembles showing teleconnections all trending kind of neutral or slightly in the wrong phase for cold. My guess, that points to a lot of uncertainty b/c even though the teleconnections kind of take the middle road there is a fair amount of uncertainty and I would expect them to pick a phase and trend towards that over the next week or so.

The first forecasted freeze often fails. Tonight is only forecast to be at 32 IMBY, so I expect most of DFW to not freeze tonight.

But, tomorrow night appears to be a sure thing for all of DFW. At least it’s not way late, only a week after average.

No official Freeze for DFW this morning as the temp only made it down to 33. However both airports in FTW did hit the freezing make or below, with Meachem hitting 30F.
