I'm in the enhanced risk now... That got serious real quick.

I don't think this will be the next 6/15/17, but it does feel like a similar setup and track. It shouldn't be as intense though.

Even the models did NOT epect this even up to 24 hours out . . .

Hurricane-Force Winds has been reported in the western side of the Kansas City Metroplex.

Sent this from the Wii U internet browser. (No, Seriously.)

The storms are still a few hours away, but the HRRR has been hinting at us not getting much here, with the storms missing to the west. There's still time, but early indications are that this may be the case, unless they start moving more SE instead of S.

EDIT: When I posted this I didn't realize that the HRRR runs I mentioned initialized so badly. The 2z runs looms like it initialized better so we'll see what it shows

Yep missing to the west but I'm fine with not dealing with 80+ mph winds. Solid lightning show though.

We've had so much rain over the past month that I'm not even disappointed about today at all.

Got .45 minutes inches last night, the severe storms missed me to the west, OKC got scraped on the eastern side & then Ada got 60 mph winds overnight. I’ll take that rainfall.

SPC added a 10 hatched tor risk for W OH. Also a PDS warning in the same area. Pretty serious day out there.

Very strong thunderstorms moved over the Chicago area late at night. A large tornado was reported near Naperville and moved over Woodridge. Damage has been reported. Very rare for a strong tornado to hit the Chicago area like that. Very scary.

Wow this is heartbreaking. Everything I've seen so far points to an EF3+. A QLCS tornado that strong is rare enough, not to mention tracking through a highly populated area.

The number of major cities getting hit in recent years is insane.

The Chicago suburbs tornado from last night was rated EF3. I'm a little ways to the west from there in north central Illinois, and we're in a severe drought in this region, and I can tell you everyone appreciated some rain, but mother nature didn't have to send a major tornado along with it.
So far I've seen reports of injuries but haven't seen any reports of fatalities, so that's good.

I'm at work at a golf course in Jenks and it's been a complete washout... All the ponds are pretty much overflowing now...
