Looks to be making a right turn along the warm front. That area may have locally enhanced low level flow supportive of a tornado.

Severe now.

This also looks like a good setup for some heavy rain across portions of N. Texas tonight :rain:

DFW is still about an 1" below normal for the year but tonight should correct that.

That would be good. The storm southwest is picking up with a nice hail core.

Storms firing south of DFW along the warm front. Looks like there will be multiple rounds of storms this afternoon into tonight.

The two warned cells in eastern DFW look nasty but SPC mesoanalysis has LCLsis pretty high. However, it might be missing that those cells are riding the nose of the moisture surge.

The storm near Mabank bears close watching... Rotation looks to be increasing.

That cell popping on the southern Tarrant/Dallas County line is going to be trouble.

Very possible. Taking a little longer to organize.

Meanwhile, the west side of Canton and many people traveling on I-20 are getting hammered by hail.

Thought so for a minute too, but I don’t think quality moisture has made it all the way up here yet. Might take another hour or so for things to get primed west of eastern Dallas county

Neither the NAM nor the HRRR did a very good job handling storm placement. A lot more activity than expected out west, and very little in the immediate dfw area. If they had been correct that tornado warned storm would be knocking on our doorstep by now. Glad that’s not the case, but need to keep an eye on that activity to the west
