If you want to believe models after the front and reprieve (again its not really that impressive getting back down to where it should be) then warmth returns. 80s/60s is normal for this period.

Monday looks just nasty, maybe 100s for North Texas. Then the brief "cool" down and back to the mid-90s. Also, looks pretty dry for most of Texas.

Yeah models have upper 90s to near 100 returning after 3 days of highs in the upper 80s (wooo so amazing!!)

About to break some records next weekend. GEFS have .1" through hour 384. Ive never seen such a terrible fall outlook. Worse than July dammit

The Weather Channel’s October outlook is just depressing.

I think we will see improvements in October. It takes awhile for the blocking to set up and then for the local weather to see benefits but until then September is shot. The Atlantic continues to be the dominant active basin relative to the others so the East and West Coast will experience general troughs while we bake in the middle.

Much anticipated relief we've been watching, albeit somewhat brief. Front is in the Panhandle and NW Oklahoma.

Austin Mabry says it's 102; their site has not been posting updates for a week now.

Can we just get some dang rain?

Not too worried unless it’s still torching in mid-October.

But, just want an inch of rain.

Cold Front passed through my area earlier this morning, it's a shame it's a dry front. Temperatures are now down to 64°F & Strong North winds as well . . .

Exactly how I feel too. Tbh I couldn’t care less really about temps dropping. The up and down temps and crap they bring with them from up north just end up getting a lot of us sick.

Just give me some rain and I’ll be good. I’m not worried about fronts yet. It’s still September.

Seriously after weeks of 90+ this is incredible

I do wish there would be a big rain event but you can't win at everything I guess. It was certainly never going to happen being near 100
