With Larry's Atlantic wavebreak recurvature, unless something gets trapped under the ridge, it's probable another streak of early Fall heat to arrive mid Sept.

It's in the Middle of September & is very unlikely to happen, but would it be very nice for this to happen during Hurricane Season?

September is a transitional month. Average highs are in the 90s to start and lowers to the mid-low 80s to end the month. Fronts have power towards the later half the month.

However we have to wait until passage of Larry in the Atlantic and the foreboding trough-ridge-trough config (west coast trof, central US heat dome, east coast trof) that follows it. After that we'll probably see a meaningful stepping down front(s) that brings meaningful shifts in temperature for good. Had we seen an active Pacific Typhoon season and recurve then the fronts would come quicker and earlier but it's been dead silent over there.

It’s been brutally hot and humid down here in southeast TX too. This past week was one of the hottest all summer no doubt. Working in it sucked a**.

Don't think it's going to be hot and dry for the next 12 days. Models are picking up on tropical moisture moving in from the Gulf along with the ridge moving away in about 8-10 days. This next week isn't going to be fun though...

I’m kinda in a wait and see mode about that tropical moisture. Don’t think it’s close to being a sure thing yet.

Wife is in KC this weekend, and it’s 70. Nice.

Jealous since it’s still supposed to be 90 tomorrow despite the front.

Hi All! I have been following along here and immensely enjoy the information. My enthusiasm for all things weather has been passed on to my homeschoolers!

We purchased a basic weather station, Accurite Weather Center with 5-in-1 Pro+ Weather Sensor. For just beginners like us, is this a good tool to have? We want to start slow!
