Expect Large Hail in the strongest storms in the Carolinas

#1 Postby Stormsfury » Sat May 03, 2003 6:21 pm

Continued Threat in the Carolinas where the severe thunderstorm watch remains in effect until 11:00 pm where large hail (up to 2") is possible in the severe thunderstorm watch area.

Steep lapse rates and 0-6 km of deep layer shear support scattered severe thunderstorms and supercells thru 11 pm tonight in the Carolinas.
