I should of been more specific but when I said the weather is boring I was talking about down here not the rest of the state. We hardly had any rain down here because the rain falls apart once it gets to Lake O.

It depends. Some years, March and April have been fairly active (by dry season standards). I feel like that hasn't happened in a long while, though. I forget what year it was back in the 2000s, but one year in March blobs of storms would form in the Gulf periodically and move east. Can also hope for stalled fronts.......lately that hasn't happened that much in the spring either, they seem to just stall out near the Panhandle and don't get further down the state

Agree with everyone here. The seasonal transition is here and "cold" has pretty much left the building along with Elvis LOL. Dry and warm will likely be the limit of chatter here within this thread for some time to come. I'm a little concerned about Florida having a particularly rough fire season this April-May and our typical start to the rainy season delayed later into June then normal. Plenty of time to watch this evolve though. Heck, even the Google AdSense Bot seems to have little to say these days

The temp here has tanked so fast my windows have fogged up. What a difference a few hours makes. More rain too and now it's a cold rain

Could you spare us some?? Haven't seen any in a while, seems that my area is becoming a rainhole

Only the Florida peninsula and southern GA have been running above average recently.

Another great illustration of the southeast ridge doing double duty protecting the Florida peninsula. Our roofs, landscaping...and pipes...are grateful.

Meteorological Spring is already here. Beaches are going to be packed this weekend by snowbirds.

You guys weren't kidding. The weather looks boring through March 10th. I find that I 100% believe the long range GFS when it shows stuff like this. It's the hard freezes and 930mb hurricanes slamming into Miami 2 weeks out that never end up happening. But boring weather? Models really good at predicting that 2 weeks out.

In fairness the GFS did nail the arctic apocalypse in Texas in the extended. But does it deserve credit with so many false positives? Boring, non extreme weather in the extended is much more believable. It also fits nicely with climo. The extended outlooks tilt somewhat above normal temps and below normal precip...at a time of year when normal is already warm and dry. In other words typical florida spring weather. It's boring...but in a good way. Only 3 months until the GFS starts attacking us with fantasy canes. enjoy the downtime.

Here is SE Florida it really has not rained and if it did rain it was very localized. I’m anticipating drought conditions and eventually water restrictions to haunt us here in this part of the state very soon. It will be close to 90 degrees down here by this coming weekend.

Some parts of northern Broward County got 4 inches of rain yesterday. Only a brief period of heavy showers in my neighborhood, probably didn't even amount to a half-inch.

It is a warm one out there today. Fortunately we look to drop a little closer to normal in a few days. This is the time of the year to cheer on normal...which is tough to beat. 8-) :D

Haven't check the GFS lately but looks like a cool down next weekend. 50's for lows Sunday night according to the WChannel maps. Hope it comes true before the furnace is turned on.

There will definitely be some torching the next couple days before the next front. 90 degrees

There will definitely be some torching today. Close to record highs. Back to at least normal for close to a week. Doubt I'll feel 50's where I live. Little farther north and west will. Enjoy the cool down. Hurricane season around the corner.

There is one of the thinnest lines of storms I've ever seen currently impacting Lake O and approaching South Florida. This'll for sure be nothing but some semi-broken cumulus by the time it reaches Miami-Dade later.
