This scenario reminds me of Opal back in 1995 late October early November.
As I recall she rode a front edge right into the beach along the Florida pan.
Gutsy call on the Cat 1 at landfall.
If she holds course she will pass over the warm loop current (still at or just above 80) and if the upper winds back off she just might.
