Here is the Emergency Management Site for my my part of Florida The Space Coast:

http://www.brevardcounty.us/EOC/index.cfm

The site has suffered some update neglect, but checkout: "Project: Blue Roof" and "Brevard County Parks & Recreation Recovery Status.

Each season, our newspaper prints up a hurricane guide and sends it to each subscriber. This seasons hasn't come out yet and its not online yet either.

Here are a couple sites I use when I teach hurricane preparedness to my students:
The Red Cross: http://www.redcross.org/services/disast ... 7_,00.html
USA Today: http://www.usatoday.com/weather/resourc ... ricane.htm
and
The Lowe's Hurricane Preparedness Guide is online:

Cannot believe I forgot this one! Our Hurricane Preparedness Week is starting today and here's our local (Mobile County, AL) weather service Preparedness Guide 2005:
