Disturbance in Central Atlantic
An interesting disturbance has formed in the Central Atlantic 9N 33W, on loop it has a buzz look to it... Maybe folks can chime in, persistence will be the key word here, but Upper Level Winds look good and is working in a nice moisture envelope.

Re: Disturbance in Central Atlantic
TAFB shows a tropical wave with attached low moving WNW just north of 10N and east of 40W in 72 hours. I assume the convection you are seeing is part of the wave.

It's more interesting than the wave off the African coast...

Looks pretty healthy and there's a nice ridge far to the north.

Re: Disturbance in Central Atlantic

Looks almost like a well-rounded version of the hurricane map symbol...
Spin in the last 90 minutes. This isn't even a t-wave, just popped up.
Here's the loop it came from: http://www.ssd.noaa.gov/goes/east/carb/loop-ft.html
Sorry, I was too timid to open a new thread, so was using the "wave in Atlantic" and "near Africa" thread, sorry! Actually Bajan mentioned it a while ago in here. http://www.storm2k.org/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=102148&start=170
(Thanks, Luis! What a gem you are!!!)

Don't see any signs of a LLC, but looks impressive on the satellite.

Yes, may be. I wouldn't pay any attention to it, if I hadn't run a loop and seen the spin. That will keep me watching it until it dissipates, because it's location makes it a possible for our neighborhood in a few days.

This area should start to gain a little latitude soon as the ITCZ rises in front of it a little..of course persistance is the key as always.
