I'm going 93L becomes a depression first, but 92L becomes Julia first.

93L's structure "looks" better to me than 92L's (though that can change in a hurry).

A close race going on. Keep the votes comming as the poll will remain open until one of the invests turns into Tropical Storm Julia. That means of for example if both are TD's at the same time, or one is a TD, as soon one of them goes to Tropical Storm,it's closed. The dilemma would be if both are upgraded at the same time to Tropical Storm. :double:

93L was my choice per models and convection. 92L is still fighting to get organized at the surface and persist..

If both become TS's at the same advisory, I believe whichever was a TD first gets Julia and the other gets Karl.

I think the rules state that it depends on proximity to land. So the one closer to land would get the first letter ("J" for Julia) and the one further from land would get the second ("K" for Karl).
