Wave in Central Caribbean

Haven't seen any talk about this one but it is the talk of the town around the weather blogs...amazing doesn't even cut it! Looks like a tropical storm already!

Wow thats an amazing wave, its still a heck of a long way away from water but obviously if it came close to water with that presentation we'd probably get an instant invest...

Its mighty impressive it has to be said, of course its still got days before it reaches the shore but its been pretty consistant with that convection.

I know "Landocane" is not proper meteorology, but dang nabbit it seems appropriate!!!!! That is what the EURO was probably pickin up on long term....wow wow wow what a frightening season in store...... :flag: :double:

The big wave will come into view in this image later tonight or early tuesday morning. This updates every 15 minutes.

That wave train is really ramping up now, so much convection over Africa right now and whilst there is still SAL coming off it isn't as bad as it has been and the wave train must be moisten things up.

I told myself that I would no longer be impressed by waves over Africa, but WOW Ivanhater, you ain't kiddin.......
As impressive as some of the waves have been, this one takes the cake!

I wouldn't get too excited yet. It's way inland over central Africa and it may look just poof in a couple of days.

It could well do and thats why I'm not getting too excited about it...still when a system has low pressure over the tropics inland, more often then not they tend to hold till at least the water.
