It looks like it's got bags under its eye. Is it as tired of 2020 as we are?

I wonder how sped up that is compared to real time?

It’s not real storm motion. It’s an animation that can be set up over a still frame. The mesovorts in the eye would not be stationary and the eyewall convection would be much more vigorous. Cool animation, especially the panning, but it’s not accurate.

I am only a meteorology enthusiast who knows a decent amount about tropical cyclones. Look to the professional mets, the NHC, or your local weather office for the best information.

Winter 2020-2021 :cold:

All observations are in Tecumseh, OK unless otherwise noted.

Winter posts are focused mainly for Oklahoma & Texas.

Take any of my forecasts with a grain of salt, refer to the NWS, SPC, and NHC for official information

In terms of symmetry and organisation, including its tiny-yet-warm stadium-effect eye, Sam is easily one of the most beautiful Atlantic cyclones on record.
