I know a lot of stations will be streaming as the event gets closer, but I especially enjoy http://www.wdsu.com and in between broadcasts they have the live camera up and running.

The University of South Alabama is not located in one of the mandatory evacuation zones and expects to run a normal class schedule today. A decision about Tuesday and Wednesday will be issued by noon.

^^ That means I have to work today.

In Mobile I no longer see any reason to worry about a cat 1 moving in west of New Orleans. I cancelled the guy who was to come put up storm shutters this morning. I'm not in flood area so I guess this is over for me. Good luck to everyone West of Mobile.

Getting stiff gusts in Biloxi and noticing the first curved cirrus moving across an otherwise beautiful blue sky.

Be prepared for possible severe flooding even on the outskirts of Isaac.

Been completely overcast for about the last two hours now. Wind is steady now, I'm guestimating around 10-15 mph. No impressive gusts.

Did they 're-locate' the Biloxi Hurricane Hunter Aircraft? I've seen a couple of C-130's flying over Galveston Bay that looked like they were on final to Ellington Field. Just curios. gb

I figured this is a good place for this info, because it'll get buried in the Discussion thread in 30 seconds.

DirecTV is broadcasting Fox 8 and WWL 4 out of New Orleans on channel 325. They are going back and forth between the 2 stations' broadcast.

Texas State Guard notified to be ready to deploy when called to register evacuees, staff shelters, and distribute commodities in SE TX for those leaving Louisiana, particularly areas west of New Orleans (Lafayette, Baton Rouge, etc.)

all of you are in my thoughts and prayers. Take Isaac seriously, the flooding has been historical in our area according to sources. We were just under outsie feeder bands. Be prepared.

Here's a link to SKYCAMS on the Alabama Gulf Coast (scroll down the page about halfway): http://www.abc3340.com/category/191673/skycams
I'm enjoying a nice morning in Mobile-since the weather looks to be going downhill and staying that way for awhile. Sun is out but the wind has been steadily picking up since I came outside about an hour ago. No birds singing this morning. :( The clouds are really swirling here! Our main concern is rainfall amount and tornadoes in those bands. Hope Isaac hasn't chosen now to play catch up! Everyone stay safe!

Well I guess it's time to buckle up, weather radio just went off for the first time placing me on Tornado watch. Just has a pretty heavy squall come through with heavy rain and some pretty stout winds.

Okay, Isaac becomes a hurricane-- and they change us to tropical storm warning... And Gov. Bentley cancels the mandatory evacuation orders for low-lying areas??? Weird!

That probably because Isaac will be going in land a lot further West than he was expecting and the damage won't be nearly as bad as thought.
