Interesting feature not being mentioned by anyone that I'm aware of.

Well, there has been an Uppel Level Low analyzed by NHC down in that area for the past several days. This was initially brought up in the "Area south of Louisiana" thread posted late last week.

Convection has flared a bit today, but NHC still is analyzing the Upper Level Low still persisting in that area as of the 8 a.m. TWD

excerpt:

A BROAD UPPER LEVEL LOW IS CENTERED NEAR 22N98W THAT INFLUENCES
MUCH OF THE WESTERN GULF W OF 90W THIS MORNING. WHILE SURFACE
RIDGING EXTENDS ALONG 27N ACROSS THE BASIN...AMPLE DYNAMICS
ASSOCIATED WITH THE UPPER LEVEL LOW IS ADVECTING MOISTURE
NORTHWARD ON THE EASTERN PERIPHERY OF THE LOW GENERATING
ISOLATED SHOWERS AND TSTMS FROM 17N-24N BETWEEN 92W-98W

LOL! we've been following that since it was a trough south of Louisiana.
Proximity to land usually means slow development.

The outflow over this convection seems to be more indicative of an upper high than an upper low. Regardless this might give south Texas a good chance at some rain.

:uarrow: The Upper Low is moving north along the Mexico coast and is expected to spread some moisture into Brownsville and extreme South TX late Tuesday into Wednesday.

I was going to mention this yesterday, but I figured it would just fall apart.

Looks a little interesting this afternoon.

Mid to upper levels?
It may not drill down, but it looks like it wants to.
