Disturbance South of TX/LA Border

It's been raining a good bit this afternoon in SE TX. What are we dealing with here? Any chance this thing will try to spin up? The shear in the gulf looks pretty stout for now. Just curious as to what this is. Thanks

area been shear now we see how far south go and shear get less

Not much vorticity with that area near Texas so far. By tomorrow afternoon I would think the shear will have come down considerably in the western GOM. The other area of interest will be off of the southeast coast IMO.

12Z NAM has a very weak shear low south of La. coast then drifts it west.
through 48 hrs.
