Re: Expert forecasts for 2015 North Atlantic season

With September almost over, here are the updates for the expert forecasts this season to date.

Official Numbers thus far through September

9/2/1

ACE 28

The closest is CSU (Klotzbach and Gray) with 8/2/1 with ACE of 35. TSR is second with 11/4/1 ACE of 44.

NOAA did pretty good except their call was more of a range so it's not a huge feat for them with 70% below normal season

NC State did well too, but again was more of a range than actual pinpoint forecast.

Wxbell did good on their numbers of systems but only half of their ACE (they predicted near normal).

I couldn't find WSI. Larry Cosgrove was the most far off thus far predicting an above average season in numbers (9 hurricanes equals a lot of ACE).

Do we have a date announced for when the first 2016 Atlantic season forecast will be released?

Not yet but I know that CSU always add the dates of their future forecasts and when the verification of the forecasts comes by late November it will come.
