Speechless...

Edit: At first I thought it was a Kevin Martin troll/catfish, but after some online sleuthing...

Don't you love when forecasters try to play God and then the media is gullible enough to fall for it.

Wonder if that military grade technology is a really nice farmer's almanac.

It certainly seems pretty irresponsible, and of course they claim "95% accuracy" leaving that 5% cover if they're wrong.

LMAO. This would have been the end result of what Senator Rick Santorum was trying to get through in the 2000's on behalf of PA meteorological clients such as Accuweather where the Government would be banned if the private/for profit sector could reproduce similar weather products. Other than maybe Dynomat, that's the one thing that more Storm2kers joined together to oppose than almost anything else. It turned a lot of people against Joe Bastardi who was preaching for it in his daily videos. Haha.

Back on topic is that the Bam Medium and Bam Shallow (occasionally effective in the tropics) 00z runs are close together with potential impacts to the Southern Bahamian Kingdom. That's certainly one of my (and many others') hotspots this year. Still a ways out and a few hours before the globals come out.

It's BS all right....but it's not a fake, or satire. the PNJ has it on their web site. It's even a sidebar headline on their main page.

Wow if so that is just stupid to actually say something like that and be in a position to where people from everywhere hear it. Oh wait I did that earlier today predicting it would be a fish. Difference is I do not predict the weather for a living or even try to.

Moved all these posts to form a new thread for future comments.

Not to mention the fact, that my OP was in the model thread instead of the general discussion thread.

As of 11:30 PM, the story has been pulled from their web site and Facebook page.

Thankfully.

The thing is people may believe this trash and this kind of misinformation could kill people. It's completely irresponsible

There were about forty comments on Facebook from people, all negative, with meteorologists weighing in too about how ridiculous it was. They really messed up. Hopefully they will vet things much better in the future.
