Re: 2016 ACE: ATL - 6.845 - EPAC - 9.0475 - WPAC - 0 - SHEM - 209.132
This year is shaping up like 2013 globally. The only chance the global ACE could get going is if the Atlantic pulls off a 2005 this year. It seems WPAC will not hep this time, except if we see surprise uptick from Sept-Nov. I am not sure if the EPAC is also affected by Post-Nino TC drought..

EPAC looks like it is about to explode. We should see some healthy ACE being racked up over the next couple of weeks

Looks like both WPAC and EPAC could rack up some big ACE numbers with the systems currently in progress

Having lived through six storms and one condo building collapse (Tower 1515 in WPB) in 2004/05, I am voting for NOT repeating it again in this lifetime.

Finnally WPAC gets out of the 0,and EPAC should get plenty of ACE units with Blas and potentially Celia in the next few days.

Blas will rack up a lot of ACE. Probably 20-30+ units as it will be a long tracker. Jimena last year took a similar path and was strong eating up 40 units of ACE. Any behind it will likely take the long path as well. EPAC will go from below normal to above normal pretty quickly.

Both WPAC and EPAC continues to be ACE producers. Nepartak is a Cat 5 STY and Blas in the EPAC a Cat 4 they will continue to bring in values. EPAC has another system getting organized behind it.
EPAC around 17 units, normal is 15
WPAC around 8 units, normal is 45

I guess it deserves a mention that the Atlantic had a higher ACE than the WPAC up to today for 2016.

Yeah it's not often that ATL surpasses WPAC's ACE.. but for the latter, all it needs is one storm to catch up..

The 2013 N Atlantic season had 29.71 units but now the combined basins of Blas and Nepertack have surpassed it.
