It has been more than eight years since my last full-length program covering a hurricane season. Finally, after months of editing, I have a new edition to our 'Tracking the Hurricanes" series. It is in two parts - part one covers the time period of 2009-2015 as we look back at how technology evolves and we move towards using smaller, longer lasting camera systems. We also come up with the idea for HURRB and begin utilizing social media more and more as time goes by. It's all there in part one.
Then, in part two, we finally get a chance to use the new cams during what was a busy hurricane season overall. Florida's landfall drought came to and end with Hermine as Matthew capped off deadly and destructive season.
