latitude 27.60 longitude -57.50 06/11/21Z
The New Moon analog year is 1999
Last year the analog was spot on for the first storm it missed the first storm by 3 days. Unfortunately it missed the storm count by 9 storms. :double:

Looks like everyone got it wrong the date including me as it looks like the first named storm will be April 20 at 5 pm

This makes me wonder...should the term "hurricane season" be retired?

In the last 10 years, there have been storms in every month except February and March (and I believe February had a near-miss a few years ago as well, and there have been a couple Invests in March).

no, but it should be extended to May 15 - Dec 15
