Hurricane Awareness Tour

#1 Postby weathaguyry » Tue May 09, 2017 8:49 pm

I had an opportunity to attend the tour yesterday on Long Island. I was able to chat with the Meteorologist-In-Charge at my local NWS office, as well as some local Meteorologists. The planes are also extremely cool, and my favorite part of the tour was asking the Pilots and the crew members which hurricanes they flew through. There were T-shirts and hats for sale, as well as an abundance of people happy to answer questions. If any of you have the opportunity to go, please do :D

I moved this to Talking Tropics as I think it's on topic. :)

I've been seeing all the tweets and it appears they've gotten some good crowds. Very cool.
