Tropical wave at 07N 55W

#1 Postby colbroe » Thu Jun 01, 2017 11:09 am

The tropical wave approaching the Windward islands and central America has a nice blow of showers and thunder showers with it , and should be bring some much needed rain to the Southern Islands over the weekend.

Last time we saw waves like this this early was 2004 but that doesn't mean this year will be like that one based on current conditions

Not with this much rotation or convection on in the first week. Not in the actual Atlantic ocean at least.

They are impressive. 2013 from a chart posted here a few days ago did not have this many waves. Matter of fact I think May alone this year had more than May and June combined in 2013.

I wish it were further north. I just left the BVI and they need the rain badly. Hopefully they'll get a slow moving TD to soak their islands.
