Re: Tropical wave in central atlantic near 35w
NHC has a yellow X over it now. It also looks like its got some spin to it.
Actually the one I'm looking at is just south of the Cabo Verde Islands about 6N 26w

I agree with Levi. The quality of the tropical waves and the impressive amount of moisture in mid-June is very scary if the trend holds on into July and August.

If I am not wrong, it looks like 12z GFS has dropped formation with this tropical wave, just a small weak vorticity on this run.

Re: Tropical wave in central atlantic near 39w
There is a lot of spin to it, and the shear isn't too bad, the water is certainly warm enough, so is there any chance an LLC could form?

Tropical Weather Discussion
NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL
212 PM EDT Thu Jun 15 2017
The tropical wave situated along 39W on the 1200 UTC surface map
is re-located farther east along 37W based on a recent ASCAT pass
that indicates the wind shift associated with the wave axis. Now,
the wave extends from 15N37W to 06N37W moving westward at around
10 kt. The wave remains embedded within an area of deep-layer
moisture as depicted on the TPW product. The wave also coincides
with an inverted trough at 700 mb. Satellite imagery shows a
cluster of moderate to isolated strong convection with some
cyclonic turning covering the area from 10N to 12.5N between 35W
and 40W. this wave is forecast to cross 55W Saturday night, and
move across the Windward Islands Sunday night.

Yeah this is is something i would think is normally seen in early mid august right before peak season. Silver lining is that it will get everyone in a hurricane zone to prepare earlier rather than waiting till the end of july to suddenly remember its hurricane season.

A tropical wave extends from 14N41W to a 1012 mb low pressure near
08N41W to 06N41W. Visible satellite imagery shows a swirl of low
clouds associated with the low center forecast to dissipate in
about 24 hours. A small cluster of moderate convection is within
about 90 nm NW of the low center. The wave is well defined in the
TPW animation and 700 streamline analysis.

Two strong twaves between the 32W and 42W ....with each attached with a distinct low pressure in mid June... is pretty rare for my untrained eyes ?!

Just in case anyone is a bit overwhelmed by all the waves we're following on Storm2K, I've circled the tropical wave being discussed in this thread:

It does have a low pressure itself with some convection over it, I'm surprised it's not lemoned
