Pressures have falling slightly over the western GOM from yesterday. Shear is pretty high and almost no model support, so I doubt we will see anything but rain in areas that don't need it.
But things change, as we all know.

Difluent flow aloft over the western half of the gulf is
supporting scattered shower and thunderstorm development north
of 24N west of 90W. A 1011 mb low is located along the lower
Texas coast with a trough located from the upper Texas coast to
near 24N98W.

Convection is being persistent tonight instead of waning like it did last night.

The GFS has been trying to spin this area up for several runs now but fails to do so due to lack of time over water and wind shear.

There is still a 1009.2 mb Low off the lower TX coast. Pressure along the coast the past 24 hours has decreased a bit. I guess shear is a big problem?

Just made a comment about this in the Texas thread. This could get slightly interesting.
