SPC's Lecture Series on Severe Thunderstorm Forecasting

#1 Postby GCANE » Sat Jul 15, 2017 3:54 am

Lot's of great met info that can be applied to TC genesis and convection associated with vertical wind shear.

This is based on a three-semester-hour graduate-level course offered at The University of Oklahoma about applications of meteorological theory to the forecasting of severe thunderstorms.
This course is led by SPC forecasters Ariel Cohen and Richard Thompson, and University of Oklahoma faculty member Steven Cavallo.

It's an incredible resource for sure. Maybe NHC could do something similar on tropical meteorology someday.
