Rotation this evening SSW of Sarasota....
Noticed rotation with the convection SSW of Sarasota this evening. Is this another Low trying to form along the Trough that is 92L?

The NHC/WPC 006Z surface analysis indeed showed a 1008 mb surface Low located near Tampa, on the trough axis, which extends from off the west coast of Florida northeastward to where PTC 10 is currently near St. Augustine.

The rainfall rates have been impressive with 10 inches or so from Ft. Meyers up thru Bradneton. Cape Coral and Bradenton have had flooding. This feature has stayed out here for about a weak now. This would normally be fairly big news but of course nothing compared to Harvey. This feature or pattern is odd. Its happened before with storms but never or very rarely this long. The weather pattern on both sides of the gulf seems to be in a stuck pattern for lack of a better term.
