The deformation on this disturbance turned it into one seriously elongated piece of slop. The inverted trough or wave that was there at the surface actually fractured into two pieces - the first runs from just north of Cancun to the Florida Keys, while the second runs eastward from the Florida east central coast for several hundred miles I suppose you could argue for one long wavy, trough axis instead of two, but whatever the case may be, the main area of vorticity is just north of the Yucatan Channel. I suspect once that vort gets near the BOC, you'll see a decent convective blowup down there, given all the model guidance shows a broad and weak (1011-1012) surface low in that area in another 36 hours.
