Potential system near Azores (now Invest 94L)

Again an extratropical low may transform into a tropical or subtropical system near the azores.

200 AM EDT Sat Oct 28 2017

For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:

1. A non-tropical area of low pressure is expected to form next week
over the east-central Atlantic Ocean. Some subtropical or tropical
development of this low is possible by the middle of next week while
it meanders well to the southwest of the Azores.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...near 0 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...low...20 percent.

For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:

The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on recently
upgraded Tropical Storm Philippe, located over the Straits of
Florida.

A non-tropical low pressure system is expected to form during the
next few days over the east-central Atlantic Ocean. This low
could gradually acquire subtropical or tropical characteristics by
the middle of next week while it meanders well to the southwest of
the Azores.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...near 0 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...medium...40 percent.

can this sweep south into the Caribbean? TOTAL newbie here, trying to learn about these storms and their likely behavior based on origins.

Very unlikely.... Hard to find any close analogs. There's troughing which pulled Philippe OUT of the Caribbean.
