Low near Azores

#1 Postby NotSparta » Wed Feb 21, 2018 6:35 pm

There's a low pressure system near the Azores, with a dissipating cold front and some convection on the west side of it. Some models are outlining the possibility for a subtropical cyclone, we'll see what happens.

A TC in February or March has never occurred in the satellite era...so we'd be in uncharted waters.

I’d be surprised if the NHC mentioned this.

These images are produced by me as NOAA is unable to produce floaters with GOES-16 data.
