Aletta has been released. Nothing changed in the report from what I read.

The first report for the Atlantic has been published: Beryl. Apparently the storm formed 24 hours before the first advisory was issued.

Meanwhile a report on a tropical depression was released for the Pacific.

A lot of these systems form 12-24 hours before the first advisory but the nhc likes to wait for consistency.

It tends to be closer to 12 hours before the first advisory. 24 hours is a little more unusual. They mention that in the report so that's why I bought it up.

Agreed with the tropical classification at the time of landfall. I know inland it looked incredible for its location, but the wind data were pretty puny.

I don't think anyone is terribly surprised. Seemed tropical well before the reclassification even operationally.

...but still, though, a lot more interesting than the 2013 season.

Not a meteorologist, in fact more of an idiot than anything. You should probably check with the NHC or a local NWS office for official information.

Where can I find TCRs? I could only find 2017 on the NHC page.

This is only updated when Hector was in the NHC area of responsibility. CPHC still has to do theirs for Hector. Might not know for awhile.

Well this TCR includes the synoptic history of the whole storm, even when in the CPAC.

Hector also will have a JMA component too for the end of the life. Plus any upgrade to cat 5 would be from CPHC.

Yeah but the CPAC portion is all operational data.
