Up to 40%..

Code: Select all

2. A broad area of low pressure is located over the south-central
Gulf of Mexico.  This disturbance continues to produce widespread
disorganized showers and a few thunderstorms.  Some gradual
development of this system is possible during the next few days
while it moves slowly westward across the southern and southwestern
Gulf of Mexico toward the coast of Mexico.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...20 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...medium...40 percent.

Whoops wrong buoy...but The ICON model has been showing at least a 1004 mb low forming for sometime now. Noticed it while watching Dorian. The model actually shows the low staying just off shore around TX/MX border for at least 24 hours.

"no cane just some rain" thanks :D

Fingers crossed....utility bill...or brown grass :lol:

Yes a beneficial tropical system would be nice. Seems to be more of a mid level/upper system with some Brooooad low level turning

This should be invest very shortly.

A broad area of low pressure located over the south-central Gulf of
Mexico is producing a wide area of showers and thunderstorms. This
system has become better organized since yesterday, and a tropical
depression could form during the next few days while the low moves
slowly westward across the south-central and southwestern Gulf of
Mexico toward the coast of Mexico.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...medium...40 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...medium...50 percent.
