Ha, mine and Klotzbach's numbers are already off from each other.

Looks like the discrepancies lie with Calvinia (way to low) and Sarai (not even listed by Klotzbach).

Starting to get a pretty good list of systems going, but almost all of them so far have been rather weak.

The Southern Hemisphere reached the 100 ACE mark but still is well short of the normal average for March 18th which is 166.1. WPAC is also below average as nothing has formed yet to this March 18th date. Normally it would have 4.8.

With Vongfong, the WPac has now generated >1 unit of ACE in the month of May for the first time since 2015. This ends the longest stretch the WPac has gone without that much ACE in May since JTWC records began in 1945.

Well now the Atlantic has some ACE, that leaves the EPAC falling behind. If only that TD it had became a tropical storm.

When was the last time the EPAC was the last basin to produce ACE? I think it might be more common then I realize.

I think it was 2017, as the ATL, NIO and WPAC all had tropical storms in April that year. The EPAC was the last basin to have a named storm, Adrian, which was ironically the earliest named storm in the eastern Pacific proper.

ATL ACE really getting a nice boost from Cristobal. Already up to 5. In an average year, the Atlantic wouldn't have reached this feat until July 17.

The EPAC had a pretty historic 5 year run from 2014-2019 and looks like it wants a break.

Not a lot of ACE for North Atlantic but the meat of the season is still ahead.
