What is in the western gulf looks like a lot of convection blowing up quickly...

Which way is this supposed to move? North under the ULL? Looks like the spin is directly over victoria

Looks like some washed out leftovers from Hanna more than likely thats found its way into the Gulf

So Hanna had the baby after all huh? Gonzalo said he was NOT the father though! But seriously, it looks good. Let's see if it persists!!! We still need rain in CenTex!!!

This energy came up a bit on the models thread while we were waiting to see what Hanna was going to do. Several models had low pressure at the north gulf (LA and then AL/FL). We had some spins, but nothing was organized though there is a strong boundary today. Yesterday, the NAM 3km started showing waves of rain coming through. The 3rd or so was some energy peeling off from Hanna and moving up. We're under a solid re-firing line of thunderstorms at the moment, but that surge is probably for tomrorrow.

HRRR sort of spins it up near Brownsville but without much convection. So it's just some energy raining itself out I guess.
