Another Atlantic tropical wave is near 43W from 19N southward
and moving W at 15 to 20 kt. Scattered moderate convection is
present south of 07N and E of 42W.

8 PM TWD:

third Atlantic tropical wave is along 59W from 13N
southwestward across NW Guyana, and moving W near 20 kt.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms are noted from 06N to 10N
between 52W and 59W, N of Guyana, Suriname and French Guiana.
This wave will reach the Windward Islands this evening and
slightly increase the chance of showers and thunderstorms.

abajan They took out the low pressure and added a Tropical Wave at 00z surface analysis.

Thanks for updating the thread. I was so engrossed in the Olympics I forgot to check the progress of the system. :lol:

Relevant excerpt from 0605 UTC TWD, based on 0z Surface Analysis:

A newly analyzed Atlantic tropical wave is along 18W from 23N
southward. Scattered showers are from 11N to 17N east of 20W.



Relevant excerpt from 1205 UTC TWD, based on 6z Surface Analysis:

An Atlantic tropical wave has an axis along 19W from 23N
southward, moving W around 10 kt. Scattered showers are noted from
11N to 15N between 19W and 21W.

A tropical wave is in the Caribbean Sea along 69W from 15N
southward to across the A-B-C Islands and western Venezuela,
moving quickly W at around 20 kt. No significant convection is
noted over water, however scattered thunderstorms have developed
over northern Venezuela near the tropical wave.

More focus on this area 14.04° N, 27.07° W Seeing vorticity, convergence there as well Surface analysis has the 1012 low along the wave axis

EDIT with further observation is has GEFS ensemble support as well - looks to be the S vort on the wave is converging with 91L. The center may form SE of 91 L or be elongated broad circ

2 PM TWD:

An Atlantic tropical wave is along 28W from 22N southward and
moving W at 15 to 20 kt. Scattered moderate convection is seen
from 09N to 17N between 22W and 30W.

Another Atlantic tropical wave is near 42W from 18N southward and
moving W near 20 kt. Scattered showers are present from 06N to 12N
between 40W and 45W.

A third Atlantic tropical wave is along 55W from 17N southward
into N Suriname, and moving W near 15 kt. Scattered showers and
isolated thunderstorms are occurring from 07N to 11N between 49W
and 55W.

A Caribbean tropical wave is near 76W from 15N southward to near
the Panama-Colombia border, and moving W at 15 to 20 kt.
Interacting with an upper-level low near Jamaica at 17N76W,
scattered showers and a few thunderstorms are noted over the
central and S central basin.
