third Atlantic tropical wave is along 59W from 13N
southwestward across NW Guyana, and moving W near 20 kt.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms are noted from 06N to 10N
between 52W and 59W, N of Guyana, Suriname and French Guiana.
This wave will reach the Windward Islands this evening and
slightly increase the chance of showers and thunderstorms.

Thanks for updating the thread. I was so engrossed in the Olympics I forgot to check the progress of the system.
Relevant excerpt from 0605 UTC TWD, based on 0z Surface Analysis:
A newly analyzed Atlantic tropical wave is along 18W from 23N
southward. Scattered showers are from 11N to 17N east of 20W.

More focus on this area 14.04° N, 27.07° W Seeing vorticity, convergence there as well Surface analysis has the 1012 low along the wave axis
