I use this CSV file for active systems, not sure if this is what you're looking for? https://www.ncei.noaa.gov/data/internat ... v04r00.csv
Can be found here https://www.ncei.noaa.gov/data/internat ... ccess/csv/

What's a sample of the product?

I just came here to ask if there was a site like the NRL (its been slow, rough, and clunky for years now) that I can use for updates without the hassle. Those links are good but any non-bloated resources for a general overview with maps/images? Thanks

Recent runs from GFS and Euro suggest the next named storm might come before this month ends.

Thanks, that was what I used as a backup a long time ago before I lost the link. It's probably on the same server but so far its way faster and cleaner.

After Mawar, WPAC has gone quiet for the month of June, when will this basin spring back to life?

Not anytime soon according to the models. It’s a ghost town on the GFS.

I am only a meteorology enthusiast who knows a decent amount about tropical cyclones. Look to the professional mets, the NHC, or your local weather office for the best information.

Weekly CFS forecast is showing below normal mean MSLP anomalies during week 1 - 2 (around 160E) becoming more potent and covering a large area as we head into August. So this basin could wake up again anytime from mid July to next month.

Models show the monsoon trough becoming active in the South China Sea and Philippine Sea by mid-July.

0z GFS is pure chaos with 3 typhoons developing and 1 of them making a run at STY status. Looks like maybe 95W could be the first one maybe but it's hard to tell.

I am in no way a professional. Take what I say with a grain of salt as I could be totally wrong. Please refer to the NHC, NWS, or SPC for official information.

Looking back, maybe the GFS isn't even that crazy. Even with a relatively low storm count, our systems have made up for it. Every storm since Mawar has been a category 2 or greater. ACE is also well above normal YTD as of late July, a huge change from the last few years.
