Hurricane Katrina Recon Reports

Ok I haved not seen so far this morning anything that suggests the afternoons mission at 18:00z to ex10 has been cancelled.If that information comes then I will take the sticky out. :)

I can't imaging they would cancel. Even if this flareup of convection dies down in the afternoon, I think the closed circulation will have persisted. That's enough to be worth investigating right there, especially this close to land.

After what recon found in 11/Jose, they should have no problem with being safe about it.

I agree, see no reason to cancel, if anything it looks as if a LLC may have already formed and now centered near 75w 21.5n moving westward. I think Recon will find a TD.

Just read 8am TWD and it wasn't very bullish on system. I may be guilty of blob watching. :lol: :lol: :lol: Next up for me is wobbling and SAL :lol: :lol: :lol: (just kidding guys).

I agree. I think maybe its a bit elongated east to west, but still somewhat there. should be checked.

2 PM EDT... during Daylight Saving Time, subtract 4 hours, during Standard Time, subtract five hours for Eastern time.

Based on the 8 AM position of the system, the plane's position at 11 AM, and the plane's forward progress, the plane will be at the center of the storm by 2 PM EDT.
