Does that timer not just read your system time? It say 103 days, 22 hours, and 1 minute for me, but that is still an hour ahead of when it really starts.

What Timer P.K.? The senorpepr one? I always do the change when it is 00:00 UTC or 8:00 PM AST or 7:00 PM EST.

The one on Mike's page was questioned but it just looks to me like it reads your system time.

Important dates prior to June 1:

1-March 15=Official Storm2k forecast Numbers Poll will start.

2- March 20=Spring Begins.

3- April 2=Daylight Savings Time begins.

4-April 4=Philip J. Klotzbach/Dr William Gray April 2006 outlook.

5-April 10-14=Hurricane Conference,Orlando,Fla.

6-Around Mid-May=NOAA first 2006 hurricane season outlook.

7- May 15= EPAC hurricane season starts.

8- May 31=Philip J. Klotzbach/Dr William Gray hours before 2006 season starts outlook.


Note=If anyone knows the exact date when NOAA will release their mid-may outlook you can post it and I will include it at the important dates list.

Also if anyone knows of another important date that is not listed here please let me know.

Weren't so long qago that the countdown was at 112 days, we are already so much closer to the 2006, and looks like being a active one as well...saying that they always are these days.

Chances are it does. Doing a timer using a standard server time would be more difficult to come up with.
