Interesting Images w/700mb & 250mb Streamlines

Looking at the 3 images below and you can see why Claudette is hardly moving now. It's caught in a 700mb col. The second image shows significant southerly wind shear at 250mb. The third image shows the 700mb flow forecast for Sunday. High pressure builds north of Claudette, and the steering currents would take it to the west.

By the way, 500mb flow is about the same as the 700mb flow. Ridge builds north of Claudette tomorrow, forcing it west. It has to go west, I'm not forecasting it to hit Lafayette! :wink:
