WOW!! I hadn't even looked at radar this morning since it is CLEAR here in Houston. You can already see the center of TS Claudette!!

That rainband right along the coast has already produced a few waterspouts just offshore of Galveston! I guess I'll be giving reports from the nearby coast depending on conditions. I WANT A LAPTOP WITH A SAT UPLINK!!!!!WWWAAAAHHHHH!!!!!

If I chase it, I will try and get some good digitals and upload them. Still haven't gotten ahold of my chasing buddy. OtherHD you ready to go???? :D :o

Channel 11 showed a live view of a waterspout this AM. It was just off the west end of the island and he showed us where on the radar.

Was pretty neat to see...but still scary knowing this thing will start to spawn stuff like that and spin it this way.

Barely moving now but maybe a slight jog north but let's wait for more frames to be sure.

Nice radar shot of Claudette.....

#11 Postby midlantwx » Mon Jul 14, 2003 4:47 pm

Yeah, you can really track it well looking at the radar. I see a northwestern drift. Make no mistake about it, Texas coast!! Make your preparations and keep on praying.

As I look at it right now, it seems to be heading straight NORTH!

West of North

#14 Postby midlantwx » Mon Jul 14, 2003 7:04 pm

The tropical feature is tracking to just west of north. Those spiral rainbands are getting close to clocking Galveston.
