Looked for weather sites when Ivan was approaching. Found one through google--easternuswx.com. This site was mentioned there--came here and found the discussions, everything to be terrific. Like many people in the Gulf South, we have relatives in coastal Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas, which makes the thoughts of different posters from the region interesting.

It's been a while, a few years, but I think it was the Palm Beach weather site and I probably looked for something about hurricanes. A link sent me to storm2k and I liked that the posters were knowlegeable and there wasn't the "craziness" that goes with some boards. Thanks for keeping that in check.

sorry to be so vague -- there was some board years ago that had many of the members who are now part of this board. I went back to that board one season and it was terrible, but someone on that board posted a link to this board and I've been happy ever since.

2003 was attending college online and it came up in class chat as a great weather reference for different styles .. been hooked ever since.

During Dean. I was on the wunderground blog and learned a lot, but constantly had to wade through multiple childish arguments from multiple children (literally). The mods did very little to control it, which is why this was such a breath of fresh air. i think i first found it through google.
