Very nice... looks like they're doing a good job. Awesome view by the way. I can see why you're staying.

Hey Frank, it's good to see y'all are getting things back together.. I'll have to pass by on 90 and watch the progress..

My wife and I closed on a new house in Orange Grove back in March.. It was a slab before the storm and the contract on it fell through afterwards.. So we signed on the dotted line and they (The Home Team) finished it in March..

Even though we need it, hopefully the rain stays away enough for more progress for y'all..

:)

BTW Frank, when y'all get further along, go see my wife Amy next door at JCPenney.. She's doing custom interior decorating for them..

Now that is a solid looking platform on which to build a house. Way to go, man!

Congrats and I love the view. The trees are absolutely beautiful and the beach scene is breath taking. I can't wait to see the rest of pics as the progress continues.

Wow, congrats Frank. Nice to see all the beautiful trees are still there, and that ocean view is just awesome. Glad to see you are rebuilding stronger than ever! :D How exciting. Keep posting pics as progress is made, it is great to watch.

I believe you will be okay from now on with any type of surge. You are right, your new view is going to be fantastic!

The bad weather that rolled through late yesterday evening, did you receive any of it? Hopefully you got out of that trailer!!

f5, I think I'll move to Nashville if we get another Katrina  Jackson might be under water since there is nothing left on the coast to stop it from going north...

Lindaloo, we were in the trailer during that nasty weather from the other night.... it was lightning like crazy... ever since Katrina my male basset hound is really afraid of any bad weather, and can sense it well before it arrives... he'll come in my tiny little bedroom, wake me up, and I'll have to pet his head throughout the duration of the bad weather... now when this happens at 3 am its not a good thing for me either ...

Lightning and rain aren't all that bad, but when it blows out of the south this little trailer is rockn and rolln... and that is not any fun at all... I do have my emergency escape ax near by just in case the trailer were to roll over.. and if I can't find it I'll just use one of them hand cranked can openers to get out of this tin shoe box... :D

I was wondering if you stayed in your trailer during all that. After Katrina, when reality set in you and Ixolib were the first two I thought about. I remember you saying you were not leaving. When Duckie finally got in touch with me I asked her and she said you were okay but could not get in touch with Ixolib. She finally got in touch with him though.

I knew Mary went to safety. When I gathered my wits I headed down to our beachfront. I came up a little street that connects Beach Blvd. and Washington Ave. here in Pascagoula. I looked over to my left and I could NOT see Mary's house. Then I didn't see my Aunt's or my cousins. :(

Sorry I hijacked there for a minute. You staying in that trailer gave me flashbacks!

thanks SF, here are the latest pixs I got this morning

Image

looking southwest out of the great room

Image

all the walls are up, part of the porch headers

it looks a lot bigger in person... its 4800 sq ft, including first and second floors, 1700 sq ft of the 2400 second floor is actual living space, with 600 sq ft of covered porches on the second floor... first floor will be patio, screen in porch area, two or three car garage and work shop.......
