I'll still be lurking about. :dont:

Thanks all the S2K people for a super year round forum. I still kick myself for not finding this place before this year. :wall:

After last season, I left, but I'll try to stay around this year in our off season. I probably won't be here as often, but I'll be sure to keep checking in. I would like to see what goes on in here during our off season.

I must admit, I was one who left after last year's season as well... Oops... :( I hate to say it, but no matter how much we push activity on the boards during the off-season... It won't be NEAR what we've had this summer.

I will be sticking around for sure. When the hurricane season ends (and it cannot be soon enough for me) I enjoy tracking the non tropical storms that often wreak havoc along the Gulf and east coasts. Of course there are severe thunderstorms and tornadoes in the US year round to keep a storm freak like me occupied.

Also do not forget our chatroom! It is open 24/7 every day with most of the chat mods typically on during the late evening to early morning hours eastern time. Often one of us is there at other times too. When is there are no weather events to talk about we just joke around and have fun. Drop in and chat with us!

Sorry but you are stuck with me despite the fact I leave in a tropical area. :D

I just don't get on as much during the week because I am working at one of the schools.

Here at S2K there is so much to do all year long. We will continue to follow the hurricanes and Typhoons all across the globe here at the Talking Tropics Forum, the winter weather in the CONUS at the Winter Forum, the US Weather including the severe tornado season at the US Weather Forum and the weather globally at the Global WEather Forum. Not to mention the other forums..S2K is the one stop internet site for all your weather..news and sports..off-topic themes..not to mention the chat room. So again the talking tropics forum and the rest of the forums of Storm2k is the place to be all year around so let's continue to be part of the best community site of the net.

I'll be here all year because of the snowstorms we will get in the Mid-Atlantic 8-)

I'll be here all year----i LOVE tropical meteorology as a research interest---hate that so much gets destroyed because of it but I guess that's a fact of life along the US East Coast.

I take an interest in global scale of things in the tropics or just locally?

I plan to use my free time this winter to learn more about tracking tropical storms and other weather. I feel left out on the forum because I can't read all the charts and maps that are posted. So maybe when I run across something I am having trouble understanding I can post it to Storm2K and y'all can help. I don't do that during the tropical season because I feel you are too busy. Would that be OK? What forum should I post my questions in?

Thats what sucks but is a good thing at the same time.

Hurricane Season Is Over. NOW BOREDUMM!!!!

Winter and Severe weather is nothing like watching tropical models come in late night. Watching a storm explode as Reconn is checking it out. The excitement is completely different during the winter.

Winter Weather Forum is usually where I stay during the offseason.

Big decrease in people even when it gets quiet. Once they hear of the disturbance. WATCH OUT!

Yeah ... and off-season we can argue good stuff like global warming. :D Not to mention the ever popular "will there be an el Nino" debate!

With the good possibility of Wilma in the Caribbean, it looks like activity will still be high in this forum especially if its a major hurricane and barrels towards the U.S, (I really hope not)
