Storm2k Markup Maps.. All Please Read

#1 Postby chadtm80 » Sun Oct 16, 2005 8:40 am

We have been seeing a growing problem with the Storm2k users marking up maps from other sites. We have even made annonucements in this forum about this problem, but some still continue to use official maps and alter them.. Skeetobite has helped us to come up with a solution by providing us with a new set up maps below.. Click each small image below for the full size image.. You may then mark them up however you would like.. Also if you need a place to upload them when you are done you can go to our homepage and on the bottom left of the page you can use that block to upload your image back to the net for hotlinking.

Great idea. I just have a couple of suggestions:

(1) Add some 1-degree lines of latitude/longitude, and

(2) If you're going to promote the use of 600-pixel-wide graphics, let us post them without the board software shrinking and distorting them (right now the widest picture we can post without doing that is 550 pixels).

Before last week, I would've said, "why the heck do you have a map for that location? But since Vince came along and made history, you gotta include the northeast Atlantic, too! Man, what a season.

Holy smokes! We're reviewing the GIS data to find the error and will provide S2K an updated map ASAP.

Edit: Fixed. Three people fired, two dogs kicked, multiple swear words uttered and a bunch of stuff thrown around the office.

Not really, good catch.

I have a problem, however... since the maps are .gif instead of .jpg, it dosn't work to do things with them and draw/write on them on Photoshop! Any solutions to this problem? Thanks!
