The board appears to be neater and cleaner. I always dislike a move though no matter what because I don't like change in general on forums (doesn't matter if it's better or worse). I was wondering about the 60 000 character limit though, was there a limit on the old phpbb2 system?

I'm not a big fan of moves either but in this case we needed to move to stabilize the board. We can change the post character limit if we need to :-)

Question on hyper linking before the change you would write what you wanted to call the link then i would highlight it then right click and then i would insert the link.Now all i see what a URL tab.Any info on this would appreciated.Adrian

Also any word on placeing the WHO'S ONLINE area at the top of the page instead of the bottom.

As already mentioned, the shortcut to hyperlink was a mod to phpbb2 that was recently installed. It's not available yet on phpbb3 since this version is still new, but will be added when it is.

In the meantime, you can still hyperlink the way we've been doing it for years on here.

Take the URL tags...

Code: Select all

[url][/url]

And insert the = after the first "url" like this:

Code: Select all

[url=][/url]

Then put your link right after the = like this:

Code: Select all

[url=link][/url]

Then type what you want it to say between the tags, like this:

Code: Select all

[url=link]Click here[/url]

You can highlight the URL tags, and it will show you how as well.

If they haven't addressed the listing of who is online yet (assuming you mean who is browsing since WHO IS ONLINE has always been at the bottom of the Index page), then they haven't gotten to it yet. There's a lot going on and they've been working really hard. They can't get to everything at once and to be honest, I just think there are some other issues that have taken priority. Please be patient.

Personally, I like the way it is. If I want to see who is browsing a particular forum, I can scroll down and look. I'm usually more interested in opening a thread to read, so I'd rather the top of the forum not be cluttered with who is browsing. JMO.

The Who's on-line is staying where it is for now at least.

I like the "Print view" feature (I can't remember if there was such a link with the old board).

Everything looks good - 2 thumbs up. Thanks to all involved.
