Favorite tropical app for Droid phone?

#1 Postby SCUBAdude » Wed May 12, 2010 8:57 am

Forgive me if this has already been asked as I may have missed it while searching, but I was wondering which would be the appropriate forum to ask members with Droid phones what their favorite tropical app is? I'm about to get one and I'm really stoked about being able to get information anywhere anytime.
I was going to ask in Talking Tropics but wasn't sure so I thought it would be a good idea to ask here first.
Thank.

This would be a good place to start off at. As a side note, maybe we should get a thread going in TT about everyone's fav weather related apps for diff kinds of electronics? That would be interesting!

I have a Moto Droid. I'm not familiar with any apps of that sort...so I just keep Storm2K on my favorites in my browser :D

I'm curious about this, too. I'm actually trying to decide right now between getting an iPhone and getting an Android-based phone, and the sticking point right now for me is finding a detailed wx program with decent radar images including maps like storm-relative velocity and such (though I'm not looking for only tropical wx apps).

I found a very nice NEXRAD Level 3 app for iPhone: http://www.basevelocity.com/RadarScope/ -- but I can't find something similar for the Android OS. It's maddening!

Anyone have any ideas??
